The worst enemy of good kid pictures is often their parents, who hover, nag, threaten, bribe, and essentially get their kids into a totally uncooperative state. Of course, when I am taking pictures of other people, I am quick to knowingly remind mom and dad to relax or leave the scene for a few minutes.
On Saturday, we took pictures for our holiday card, and, in a (vain) attempt to get our kids to cooperate nicely, we found ourselves behind the camera, saying in stressed out voices. " No cookie for you if you don't sit still and look at the camera . . . " Hmmm that didn't work so well.
I am just thankful for white backgrounds and composite images.
