This year, our annual family get-together (on my side of the family) was in Gloucester, MA. We had a wonderful time, but we missed you, Jenny and family! I took many pictures, posted full-size here:

I included a few that capture the flavor of the trip below:
| Grandpa, E.J. and Josh rowing across the cove for some ice cream. |
| The best surprise of the trip was the discovery of this beach- as the tide goes out, it forms a river which you can ride out to the sea. And it has rideable waves (surf school was out several evenings with a class). Fun for boogie boarding. |
| Grandpa, Grandma, and Josh floating the river. |
| E.J. spent most of his time digging, not at all discouraged that his creations would disappear before the next day. |
| Grandma Ubbah |
| Grandma Ubbah #2 |
| Uncle Dave |
| Drew loved the beach and never wanted to leave. He especially didn't want to walk himself the arduous way home across the sand. Drew, however is a music and dance lover. So, John, being the brilliant Dad that he is made up a little march/dance game to help Drew walk back on his own. |
| I wish I had this on video. |
| We spent most of our time at the beach, but also explored the rocky shores of the state park, |
| played some wild tennis, |
| visited Hammond Castle, |
| and enjoyed some of the finer things in life. |
| Cousin Jeffrey |
| Mae learned to crawl, however, being a good-natured, well-loved, happy little bundle, she spent most of her time chilling on the floor, or in someones arms. In fact, most of the crawling she does is to crawl over to me or Daddy, begging to be carried. She is so sweet (and light), that we are happy to oblige. |
