There's just something about getting together with long-time friends and family that is wonderful. It somehow feels so natural, like you haven't even skipped a beat, even if it has been awhile. This past week I got together with my best friends from high school, and then had my sister and family visit for 5 days. What can I say . . . "My cup runneth over."
High School Reunion

With the storm of the decade tailing-off here, it is hard to believe that less than a week ago we were enjoying idyllic spring weather. The cousins had a great time tromping around the zoo, the park, and the city. Monday-Wednesday, we clocked a good 13 miles of walking and fit in two Broadway Shows. Oh, my aching feet.
I've been through lots of airport security lines before, but none were quite so rigorous as the security checks to visit the statue of liberty, which included removing all metal (including belts), and standing in a strange device that blows air at you.
