For Christmas, my parents gave us the game Ticket to Ride. It is a great game to play with another couple. In addition, Ethan LOVES playing it, and it is a fun game for J and I to play with him (while really competing against each other). However, the best part about it is that I don't have to play Chutes and Ladders anymore. Hooray !!!!!!!!!! Ethan loves to play games so much that he and I play TTR around 3-4 times a week. Yes, it is getting a little old, but watch out . . . I am becoming an expert player.
Drew's favorite game is attempting to escape from our house and run into the road whenever he has the chance. Our back door goes to a fenced yard and we have double front doors which are difficult to open, so I have never worried much about Drew finding his way out to the Road. However, we had friends over who left without closing the doors tightly after them. Ethan and Drew were playing happily in their room (or so I thought), when I felt a frigid draft running through our house, and I ran out to find my little baby freezing-cold, outside, alone, and near a busy road . . . and happy as a clam. This was a traumatic experience for me, but apparently not for Drew since he goes to the front door and wiggles the doorknob several times a day to see if he can get out again.
