My favorite thing about E.J.'s blossoming reading skills is that he spends time reading to Drew. (One less job for me!)
After returning from school pick-up, Drew  asks E.J. what book he brought home (and gets it out of E.J.'s bag if E.J isn't quick enough), then sits next to E.J. on the couch, eager to hear the latest installment of "Mr. Putter and Tabby", or "Henry and Mudge." 
This morning, they built a "reading fort" on the couch. (Not to be confused with their "real fort" in their room), and spent an hour reading.
